A name, nickname, or anything you like — we just want to say hi! 👋
Here's your map. Each stop is one of The Five Foundations of The Promise.
Your voice matters. Grown-ups should listen to children when they make decisions about their care. That means asking, listening properly, and doing something about what you say.
When grown-ups make decisions that affect you, do they listen?
If you could tell grown-ups one thing about how to listen better, what would it be? (You can skip this!)
Children should be able to stay with their family whenever it is safe to do so. If they can't, they should still keep close to brothers, sisters, and people they love.
Who are the people who feel like family to you? (They don't have to be related!)
When children need care, it must be full of love. They should feel safe, happy, and able to grow up with people who really care about them.
What 3 things make a place feel like a HOME to you? Tap any that fit:
The grown-ups who care for children should be kind, well-trained and supported. Teachers, social workers, carers — all the helpers — need to be brilliant at their jobs and care deeply.
Think of a grown-up who is GREAT at their job with kids. What makes them so good?
"Scaffolding" is a funny word — it means all the help and support around you, like the bars that hold up a building. Schools, doctors, social workers, clubs — they should ALL be ready to help when needed.
Imagine you could ADD one new thing to your school, town or neighbourhood that would help kids. What would it be?
All 5 stickers collected. One last big question before we celebrate...
If you could change ONE thing to make Scotland a better place to grow up, what would it be?
🔒 Your answers help grown-ups make Scotland better for kids. We don't ask for your address, school or anything that could identify you. Make sure a trusted adult is OK with you sharing your answers.
